Just looking at the Muppets thread and remembered how I just can't resist certain films-no matter how sad or grumpy I am these always make me smile!!!

    A League of Their Own

actually that one makes me laugh and cry:o

I was obsessed with this when I was little, I was an odd kid

This one turns me into a blubbering idiot every year without fail...happy tears though!!!in it the santa signs to a deaf little girl.I work as an elf for our store santa, and one year he signed "merry christmas" to a deaf child.

    I burst into tears!!!:o:o:eek:

The sound of music. Not just because it's a sappy happy film but because I share my love of it with my Dad. For my 21st for a present from my parents I went away to Salzburg with my Dad to stay in a nice hotel and we went on the sound of music tour.

It's a very happy memory of a lovely birthday.

Also - I'm going to watch monsters inc now!

It's a wonderful life for sure. And any scrooge movie. Groundhog day. While you were sleeping. Big.

I have a bad memory though. There's tons I can't think of. Hopefully other peoples choices will remind me...

Its a Wonderful Life is my favourite film of all time. Its never fails to make me cry. There's also the added dimension of remembering watching it with my Dad the Christmas before he died and we both sat crying our eyes out at the end of it, with him holding my hand. God he was a great man to watch a film with.

I recently watched Mr Deeds Goes to Town, another Capra film and its fantastic as well :D

Napoleon Dynamite is brilliant. "Your mom goes to college"

Almost every film Tom Hanks is in is a feel-good movie, including The Green Mile. Oh, and especially the animated train movie.

Also, every Christmas some channel, without fail, will play Prancer. I love that film.

The ending to Planes, trains and Automobiles while making me a wee bit teary (it's windy and something blew in to my eyes) always makes my heart smile

and while technically not a film rather a score from a movie (Once upon a time in America) this piece of music not only, make my heart smile but my soul soar with it's beauty.
