    Hi Folks,

Seems to be a lot of knowledge on here so I thought I'd post my questions up here, any help would be greatly appreciated. I've never had a satilite dish so am new to the idea of LNB etc.

-> For subscription with Sky Sports 1 only, does this include Sky Sports Extra & News? (Quite expensive for SS2&3 which I wouldnt really use)
->I'm getting Sky+ in the main room, and standard box in the bedroom. I would like to try to future proof the installation, if I wanted to upgrade to Sky HD in 6 months, will I need to upgrade the dish or will they install a quad LNB with my initial install?
-> If the answer to the above is that they will install the quad on day 1, can I ask the installer to create 3 points, in case I decide to move 1 of the boxes?

There were a couple of other questions floating around my head but I'll leave it at that for now

    1) It doesn't include Sky Sports Xtra (you need to get SS2 nad you get SS3 Aand SSXtra for free with them), SSN is on the News Package now,but free with the full sport pacakage.

    2) They will a quad LNB with your initial install, the Sky+ Box and Sky+ HD Box uses 2 inputs and the standard box uses one.

    3) You can get a independent installer to do it for you.

I would recommand you get the Sky+ HD Box now, its free for new and exiting customers now, but it may cost you to upgrade in 6 months. Have a look here.

Thanks for the quick response, so that means for the likes of champions league games (such as this evening) I wouldnt be able to view multiple games using the red button (as this function applies only to Sky Sports Xtra), correct? Hmm, may have to reconsider so!

Ya, it will cost you a minimum of €53.00 pm, for the full Sky Sports package and one Entertainment Pack, which is the minimum. You can work this out here.

I knew there was something else, what connectors are on the back of the sky+ box? I'm buying a new AV receiver, want to be sure the connections match up. I assume theres a couple of scarts, component & opticals?
