    Does anyone know the requirements / stages for claiming mortgage interest relief?

    How long does the process take?

    It's deducted at source I thought? i.e. the bank looks after it.

    You'll need your mortgage a/c number, sort code, PPS number etc. Takes 4-6 weeks usually.

    i wish it was true
    im waiting for 6 months now
    everytime i calling them they say were paying out i 4 to 6 weeks
    hear that for 6 mnds now

    Six months is a long time to wait.

    One of us is unemployed - would that cause any problems?

    Do it online for much faster results.

    AIB where notified within 24hrs an relief took effect for next payment.
