Starts tonight at 9pm BBC 1
The Paradox team find themselves thrown together when a series of rogue images are transmitted into Dr King's laboratory from space.

The fragmented images appear to be of a major incident, but shockingly they suggest it has yet to happen; it's in the future. Dr Christian King (Emun Elliot), DI Rebecca Flint (Tamzin Outhwaite) and her team, DS Ben Holt (Mark Bonnar) and DC Callum Gada (Chiké Okonkwo), have just 18 hours to work out the clues and prevent a tragedy.

The early word for this is pretty good and as noted it'll be done and dusted much quicker than FF.

Hope its not another Bonekickers (crap) but a Life On Mars (brilliant) instead!

    As well as drama.

I thought it was a poor effort. Best to leave these types of shows to the Americans.

Your talking to someone on a train. The train is heading for some type of non-descript disaster.

    Do you ?
    1) Have a chat
    2) Tell him to pull the emergency cord

Yeah, thought it was pretty poor myself, a let down. And why didn't that twatty scientist give them hand from the beginning instead of acting like a moody goth, he knew what the black and white writing was, why didn't he just say so ? Don't think I'll be watching the next episode, I mean if it's a person from the future sending back the pics, why doesn't that person just write down what's going to happen and where, take a pic of the note, and then sent that instead ?

I presume he's a weirdo scientist cos writers have contempt for science! Still I enjoyed its hokeyness and no doubt the PhD will reveal something to explain himself as the series unfolds.

    Nope.

I enjoyed it. The lead blonde woman (cant recall her name Tasmin?) was credible. Good to see a woman in charge. I liked the ending. It would have been too predictable if they has solved the puzzle and felt all glowey good about themselves. The scientist, who looks like he should be working as a Mechanic, was interesting casting. They could have gone for a central casting typical Tv scientist ie Doddery but affable, cardigan clad and balding but instead we got the Goth .

The paradox element(changing the future and perhaps creating an even more nefarious outcome) will have to be developed rather than concentrating on the piecing the puzzle parts together. Otherwise it simply becomes the Bill played backwards.

Errily familar to Flashforward- an ep mostly comprised of incredibly stupid and boring police procedural, followed by about 2/3 minutes of plot development at the end.

Just watched there this morning. I liked it alot. Sure, its a bit hokey and there are plot holes, but it was a great build up and the last 10 minutes were excellent. I think
the outcome had to happen to add a bit of urgency to future episodes
    .

I hope they address the source of the photos in future episodes.

What do people think of it-now its ran for what four episodes? So far I have mixed feelings on it. It still just comes across as a Poliice drama in reverse. Episode three was exciting at the end-with two separate situations playing out at the end. The casting seems to a bit off in the science centre. The Goth scientist was an attractive curve ball but his bosses are just not credible. The Irish guy seems permanently irked. Surely, he should at least appear intrigued? Was he not on the clinic recently? He just seems to use the same acting muscle perpetually- petulant. There just doest seem to be any depth/nuance to his performance or part. The Female boss just looks like she wants to go to the toilet and is annoyed to be delayed.

The other cast performances are fine but Im stiill waiting for hidden depths to the whole thing.

5 episodes - it'll not win any TV Quick awards :p

I enjoyed its overcooked atmospherics and that they were happy to kill off charcaters that on an American show would have lived long(er) and prospered. It'll be back judging by the ending.

It was a good series, but I'm not sure I understand the ending. Have the messages from the future evolved into speech?
    Christian
was in bad shape, but I can't see them killing him off. So it just kind of fizzled out for me. Hopefully it gets a longer run next year.
