Hi, I am renting with my partner (not married), and I claimed private rent relief recently for the past two years….on the forms I only put my own name, prsi number etc, and for the full amount of rent.
I am wondering is he also eligible to claim again, or would my claim technically be for both of us that i got a refund for?
im thinking i should have just put in my claim for half the rent, because as far as i can make out, its a set amount you get anyway per year, regardless of how much you pay?!

If you both pay half the rent each, you should both claim half the rent on your claims

    A question.

If I've been renting a place, but someone else s name is on the rent book can I claim for what I've paid.

Yes, fill in Form Rent 1 available on Revenue's website.
