Some big names in there - Parnevik, Hamilton, Duval (2 over thru 5 holes)...

Yeah few big names, if Parnevik fails he still has a 1 year career earnings exemption he can use, great to see him back playing after his operation.

    All eyes on Rickie Fowler.

Hope Cameron Tringale and Billy Horschel secure their cards.

Duval had 5 birdies after two early double bogey 7's to shoot a 1 under 71.
25 cards from 170 starters is very tight!
Big names in there alright... Chris Riley, Jeff Maggert, Tim Herron, Shaun Micheel well, maybe he's not a big name but he is a Major winner... 3 of them in there anyway, Micheel, Hamilton and Duval.

Good call on Cameron Tringale and Billy Horschel, both with good first rounds.

Fowler struggled today, plenty of golf to play.

    Mcilroy's not a Horschel fan!
    http://www.golfdigest.com/magazine/2008/07/britishopen_rory
"During the Walker Cup at Royal County Down, about 30 miles from the family home he has only recently abandoned for a new five-bedroom villa nearby, McIlroy was annoyed at what he considered repeated displays of "bad manners" and "ignorance toward the spectators." As a result, he turned on American Billy Horschel when the pair met on the final day.
"I was up against Horschel on the first day, too," he smiles. "I messed up the last hole and lost to him. I wasn't happy. Then I got him again, twice, on the Sunday. His antics were really p
me off. For example, he had hit a bunker shot at the 14th in our morning foursome. It was a great shot and finished inches from the cup. But he came running down the hill hollering at the top of his voice. He was so loud and so obnoxious.
"Anyway, that outburst of his was probably the worst thing he could have done. In the second singles, I set out to be as loud as he was. On the first tee I ripped a drive up the middle, hit my 7-iron approach to maybe 15 feet -- I was shouting 'Be good! Be good!' all the way -- and holed the putt for an eagle. When the ball went in, I gave it the loudest 'Come on!' you've ever heard. I think he got the point."
One day after seeing off Horschel on County Down's 16th green, McIlroy was a professional."

68 for Fowler... back in the game.
Duval out in +4, home in -3, needs to start better!

Is there a cut after the 4th round, as there is at the European Tour School?

Among the notables who did not qualify out of q-school were major champions David Duval, Todd Hamilton and Shaun Micheel.

Happy to see Fowler get his card... strong performance over the week.
Duval will be seen on tour plenty of times due to his 2nd place at the US Open and finishing 130th. He didn't exactly need to go to the tour school but gave it a go anyway.
