Boxing match in Dublin around December/January

    Hi does anyone know of any that's taking place? Pref very high profile one or at least guaranteed bloodbath haha...

    My friend has asked me to check it out, he's foreign and after a search I have come up with nothing. Anyone know of any??

    Matthew Macklin(European Middleweight champion) fights Rafael Sosa Pintos at the National Boxing stadium on Friday the 5th of December.

    On the undercard: Anthony Fitzgerald fights Lee Murtagh for the vacant Irish Super-Middleweight title.
    Paulie Hyland defends his Irish Super-Bantamweight title v Eugene Heagney.
    World Junior amateur champion Luis Garcia continues his pro career with his 6th fight, and talented Irish Flyweight prospect Jamie Conlon has his 2nd. Also on the card are (the very entertaining) Gavin Prunty and Michael Kelly.
    This is a good quality card which will be shown live on RTÉ.

    There is also a card on in Cork the day before for the vacant Irish Light-Middleweight title between Gary O'Sullivan and Ciaran Healy.
    On the undercard of that there is Eddie Hyland(Irish Super-Featherweight champion) in a non title defence, former Irish Welterweight champion Billy Walsh and also Limerick Featherweight Willie Casey.


    February should see the first defence of Paul McCloskey's European Light-Welterweight title, that'll be held somewhere up North. Although that card isn't scheduled yet so there's no guarantee it will happen then.
