    Getting an 05 A3 sportback serviced (2.0TDI DSG)
    Got a quote from over the border from a reputable service centre, haven't had to service a car before (was always in a company car), so what do you think of the pricing, all these things need to be done on the car...

    Full service with cabin filter £110
    Timing belt kit plus water pump £250
    Brake fluid change £20
    Front disks and pads £100
    Rear disks and pads £90
    DSG service (up to £80)

    I emailed a few garages in Dublin requesting prices but they never bothered replying, typical! I even rang one and they said they couldn't tell me over the phone they'd have to have a look at it.....wasters.

    The motor industry is one where phone calls or in person visits will yield a better response. That has been my experience anyway.

    OP get it done up north, that's a good deal, especially the timing belt and DSG service.
