Haven't heard about this at all, seems a really odd choice for a remake, I don't really put Blood Simple and House Of Flying Daggers in the same cinematic ballpark.

iMDB lists a 11th of December release date for China, anyone heard anything about a western release? Mmm nothing more to add really, look forward to seeing it when it's out here though I guess.

never watch blood simple but i actually read up abit of the Three guns for you (the trailer looks interesting!)

three guns is the abbreviation of the full name of this new movie,well basically it is some translation diffculty moment that i cant seems to find a better translation for you myself too:pac: the amazing tale of three gun works fine imo.the jing qi two words have the meaning of similar to thriller

i read the summary but no way i can tell if it is similar or same to blood simple put the spoiler tag,ya decide to read it or not :pac: i'd say the story doesnt matter much since it is supposed to be a light hearted comedy thriller genre movie.didnt say out the ending tho

story(briefly) is about the inn owner(fat and ugly) in the desert who has a pretty wife and he found out she is having an affair with the other handsome dude who works for him (named Li Si,which is something like John Doe in chinese). He didnt say a word of the affair but hire a killer to kill the handsome dude instead (lol).whereas the killer named Zhang San(another John Doe name in chinese) who has no professional ethnic at all kills the owner (before he does his job) so that he can get a hand on the owner's properties.some twist and laugh ->the ending
