    Hi,

I am looking at buying a new lcd tv and have come across a few labled with a free view feature.

Does this mean that if I hook up the tv to the satellite cable I can get all the free to air channels and use my free to air box on another telly.

No freeview is a DTT Aerial service from the UK. You would need a tv that says FreeSat only Panasonic i think. If you are going to buy a new TV make sure its an MPEG4 tv for when the Irish tv channels change over to DTT

Sony & LG also do Freesat models. General perception seems to be that Sony & LG models are better for Irish DTT than pannies. For a main tv - a freesat option might be attractive via a PVR rather than built in.

Either way a tv that supports DTT (MPEG4 etc) is best option.

See here for a list of all TVs with Freesat

shop around for best prices - richersounds.ie might be worth a look - v reasonable delivery.

Lots of people seem to confuse Freesat and Freeview, even TV sales people.
