Ladies bear with me here........I am a woman in my late 20 who like most women is unhappy with her weight in particular tummy and hips! Now i wouldnt be overweight and believe me i do excercise and 85% of the time TRY to eat right! I feel like i would be happier if i lost a stone.........
Anyways after much research ive been looking into hypnosis for healthy eating (its probably my sweet tooth that lets me down), so i was talking about this to an acquaintance yesterday and she couldnt believe i was even suggesting it saying there was nothing wrong with me the way i was......all very flattering but this girl is gorgeous looking and started telling me things she hates and would like to change physically about herself.........It just got me thinking that no matter how perfect we all think people are, women in particular will always have an 'issue' with something physical about them.........
basically im just wondering what are the bits you hate??!!!

Mine as i said is my tummy and hips :( oh and also id like to have nicer tops on my arms i have a serious fear of getting bingo wings when i hit 50/60!!!!

My knees and feet are the only things I really and truly hate on my body. Not too mad about my tummy, but meh.

I'm lucky enough to have a very fast metabolism so can eat what I like and remain slim but I HATE my skin.

People often assume cause I'm a size 6-8 that I must love my body but it's simply not true. I am ghostly pale and I look ridiculous wearing fake tan so just have to get on with it. People always ask me if I'm feeling ok cause I'm so white they think I'm sick.

I hate going to hot countries and seeing all the beautiful tanned gilrs everywhere. I lived in Australia for a year and wouldn't even go to Bondi beach with my bf cause the one time I did I came home in tears. It's so silly to inhibit my life like that but I really do hate being so pale...grrrr

Why would you like to be smaller in height??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 198 ✭✭Loopsie

ive always been very tall, have been this height since i was about 14. I spose i sometimes feel like i look big! Alot of my friends are petite 5 3 or 4 and when we go out and i wear heels i feel HUGE cos im about 6 2!!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,883 ✭✭✭shellyboo

It's so weird how everyone's perceptions are different! I'm plus-size and literally the only reason I'd want to be smaller is so that there'd be a wider range of clothes available to me. Wouldn't change my curviness for anything.

Yeh i'm tall too, when my friends slag me about being tall i just say 'i'm adult size' LOL. That sorts them out.
I find that most men love taller women and hey models are all tall so be proud of it :)

I actually not unhappy with any physical part of me, tbh. I really like my figure, so no complaints there. When I was younger I didn't like my freckles, but that faded (both the freckles and my dislike of them). I'd never change them now. It's not that I think I'm physically perfect, I'm just happy with what I have and don't see any real reason for complaints.

I feel like I've been very, very lucky in this regard because almost every woman I know does feel insecure about their body, even when there's absolutely nothing to feel insecure about. I think it's quite sad and can even be debilitating for some. It's idealistic to say that we should all love ourselves as we are, but I do wish more women would be more forgiving of their physical "flaws."

I know this feeling only too well. Even though I'm 5'8 and a size 10 I still feel like a fat arse most of the time possibly becasue I have the worst sweet tooth ever:Dbut I try not to let it get to me. I just try to dress in a way that suits my shape.

I had an eating disorder all through my teens, the things I did to have the perfect body are shocking to think of now.It takes too much energy to have the perfect body.

I've put on an awful lot of weight recently, going from a 10 to a 14-16. I know thats by no means big, but none of my clothes fit me and I get depressed when I look in the mirror.

I literally don't have time to exercise, I'm out of the house from 7am and not back till around 8pm, I then eat my dinner and it just turns into fat as I'm doing no exercise to get rid of it.

It's really getting me down lately :(

Did you know size 14/16 is the average womens clothing size??! I was a sixteen a few years ago and probably got more compliments on how i looked then than i do now!!! I had a mean rack on me and when i lost the weight alot of it was them, i miss them!!!!!!

    me too.
You work your ass off in the gym just for your boobs to shrink and everything else to stay the same size

Nice to see this attitude for a change, my missus is a size 10-12 depending on what it is she's wearing but she's constantly putting herself down because she has a bit of a tummy, which i happen to love, and her ass is "fat" which it isnt, its just an ass, she jiggles in all the right places as far as i'm concerned, curvy girls ftw:)

I have really wide bony shoulders, my cousin used to tell me that I looked like a monkey because my arms were so long and skinny. The problem is that they're the only things that are long and skinny apart from my face; I've got big thighs, a fat arse and love handles. I eat really well and I exercise nearly every day. I've got a line of freckles on my top lip that looks like a mustache and my hair never behaves itself. When I smile my gums show and my cheeks make me look like I'm a hamster and when I don't smile I look gaunt. I'm 24 and I still have acne. Oh and I sometimes wear glasses.

    I'm a ride I swear.

    Being clean shaven.

It is actually depressing me to look in a mirror. I much prefer having a scraggly beard. Makes me look hot IMO.

I made the mistake of trimming my beard today as well, had the shaver on the lowest setting without realising it, di a patch and had to do the whole thing so its down to about 2 days growth where it was at nearly 3 weeks worth, gah! gonna have to go through the itchy stage again, i hate the itchy stage!

I hate my stomach! It's massive! :( I hate my thighs. They're massive! That's pretty much it! I'm a 14. Which is fine. Curves in all the right places. Just a bit too many curves in some places for my liking!

Yeah I know, but when the going was good money wise I spent an an absolute fortune on clothes and things which don't fit me anymore..It's just really getting me down atm.

I'm thinking the pill I'm on isn't helping either so I'm going to change it and see if it helps...I mean I eat relatively well, I do a lot of walking during the day and yet I'm still this size...and I feel bad for moaning when I know it's not that bad but it's just getting me down..

I don't like my teeth. They are not the worst, just a big fangy. But you know, braces cost lots. Maybe in the future when I'm loaded  And my STUPID STRETCHMARKS. Grr! Apparently they are barely noticeable, but that's all I can see when I have a swimsuit on. I'm okay with my figure in general, even though I went from an 8-10 to a 10-12 in the past year or so. But I was too thin for my height before, really.

Oh if only I was a size 10 - 12. 12 is my goal size, even though technically it'd still be 'big' for my height [ 5'3] but I like curves :D:D

I don't think we're ever quite happy with our size... at my biggest (size 18-20) I just wanted to be a size 16, but now at a size 12 I still want to lose about 10lbs.

In general? I wish I had slightly smaller boobs, though my DDs do balance out my big hips quite nicely. A weird thing I don't like is my calves, they are very muscular and I find it extremely difficult to get knee-high boots that fit (I also have narrow feet, so places like Evans that would do a wider leg boot are no good to me because their boots are also meant for wide feet). I also wish I was a bit taller, though I think my perception of height is slightly skewed by being around guys all the time so being 5'6" makes me look really short.

I'm size 8-10 and still unhappy with my figure. I hate how broad I am, it makes me feel unfeminine. My skin is so****ty right now too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,121 ✭✭✭Censorsh!t

My tummy, it tends to get bloated a lot because i've a stomach problem(the doctor's don't know what it is yet :(), and it makes me feel fat and I always get paranoid that I look pregnant.

I also hate my nose. I wish I had a nice straight nose, but mine has a bump in it...so i try not let anyone take pictures from my side! I almost wish I'd accidentally break my nose so that I could get it rearranged.
