    Just to get an overview of what the consensus on a game, I would use MetaCritic.com.
    It gets review scores from a large selection of sites, and creates an average and a summary of comments (links to the original review).

    For example, here's the list of XBox 360 games in score order. I'd generally agree with the games as they appear there.

    I'd recommend metacritic also.

    I also use gamespot.com, they do video reviews which are good but the quality has been lacking recently.

    I find that most sites give the same score/say the same thing anyway.
