Can you buy Modern Warfare on Xbox Live?

    Just wondering if Modern Warfare is available to purchase and download on Xbox Live, and what the price is?

    Want to play it tonight and it'd be less hassle to download than to have to head to a shop in Friday rush hour traffic after work.

    Have never downloaded a game before - what's the downsides, do you get an electronic manual and is it cheaper than buying in a shop (given the lack of resale option)?

    Nope only available in the shops.You can download it for the PC though from Steam and such...

    The savings on a lack of a physical copy is rarely passed on to consumers I'm afraid. You're generally likely to pay the same amount or a bit more.

    Haven't heard of any shortages. Seems there was plenty available in Xtravision when I was in there the other day.

    Picked this up the other day in Xtravision and it's pure class. I don't play games very often but it's a great distraction when I need a break from study.

    Probably played about 3 hours over the weekend and found the story line on Campaign mode brilliant, loved that one in the airport.

    Thing is though, I am complete newbie to this kind of game and even on the easiest setting I totally suck balls at it. Find it very hard to spot enemies before they've shot at me. Am actually ok at aiming once I spot them but what's the general tips for spotting enemies, is there some radar map that'd help or is it just down to spotting them?

    Reckon I'm probably missing out on some extra features cos I'm just trying to follow the missions and haven't figured out what weapons are best etc. so I generally just stick with whatever gun I start with. Is there a way to tell what guns are better or do you just have to play around with them? Reloading seems to take forever so a good gun with quick reload time would be spot on.

    Loved that scene on the airfield where you had to use the thermal sights to pick out the enemies, pure class!

    Prob the best plce to put this.Had to laugh at HMV selling the game brand new for 49.99 and a 2nd hand version for 49.98:rolleyes:
