REQ diagrams setting up Sky/aerials

Apologies i know this subject has been done ot death here but i am finding it hard to get my head around all this.

I currently have a Sky box and i just dismantled an old BBc analogue aerial. The aerial served me well for 20yrs and was amplified and had a masthead amp and this distributed Irish and Endlish analogue channels to 6 tvs around the house as well as sky.

My atttic is a nightmare with tunnells all around the edges that are small confined spaces and this is where originall cables were laid.

Anyway i now have a new Aerial installed for just Irish channels to be combined onto sky for distribution around the house but i need new splitters etc but i am finding this all a bit complicated.

The new aeraial is currently hooked up identically as the big old aerial but without the masthead amp and no signal is getting to any of the tvs.

Does anyone know any good online diagrams of setups for combining Sky tv and a treerstrial aerial to many tvs?

I think i will have to forget about old cables in my attic tunnels and start from scratch :(

Depending on where you live, you may or may not need to amplifiy your terrestrial aerial.

You would then feed this into the back of the sky box, and from here, feed a digital bi-directional Amplifier from the Socket Market RF2. You would then send a cable from the amp to each room directly. You will need to know the frequencies used by the Rte terrestrial aerial in your area, and you will then need to specify the sky box to come out on a rf frequency that is not clashing with it... for example in Limerick

RTE are channel 39,42,45,49 etc so I usually use channel 22, or channel 25 to send the sky channel around

Setup the sky freq by doing the following.
    Press services
    Press n0 4
    Press 0,1 select
    option 4.
Set rf channel and switch rf2 power to on and save settings.

By use of a digital distribution amp you will be able to use a magic eye in other rooms to control the sky box.

A good digital bi-directional amp is manufactured by global model no F140 for a 4 way...does not need a power supply. so it doesnt need to be plugged in the sky box will power it.

F180 - 8 way requires a power supply. so needs to be plugged in.
F280 16 Way...requires a power supply. so needs to be plugged in.

    Hope that helps
