    Hi all,

I want to increase my fittness and have decided I want to sign up for a 5k run.
At the moment my fittness is at an all time low  but am determined to complete a run. :p

I am lookin for any 5 k runs in my surrounding areas (I'm in Carlow) that will commence in Jan or Feb.

Also I am in need of a good pair of running shoes, could any1 recommend a cheap alternative to asics or should I just splash out?

    Thanks for any replies :D

Try the run Ireland website for their event calendar or local club websites. Cheap and sport footwear rarely go hand in hand, every euro spent is worth it esp if your only starting out. Shop around you'll find a pair... I presume your going to train for the even rather than just jump in?

    Yep, gonna train.
