I just came across this today. Through the US Amazon site you can find more info. The apps are free and on the apple store. I don't have an iphone yet - Saturday hopefully! but tried the pc version and it worked perfectly and i got the book i ordered instantly.

Looks good on PC screes, don't know for iphone/touch

I tried to download the App for the iPhone before - I could run it, but it wouldn't let me buy any books because my Amazon account was outside the US.

It looks like that might have changed as kindle is now available in IRL/UK. I was able to log in using my UK acount details and buy a book that was immediately dornloaded to my PC.

The whole point of the Kindle is it uses ePaper so it doesnt kill your eyes. Would reading a full book on the iphone screen not be a little hard on the eyes?

PS. How much are books for the app?

The cost seems to vary but if you look on amazon.com and kindle store you will see. They seem inexpensive and are charged in dollars.

you should give stanza a try - free app. Plus you can download thousands of free books. I have read a couple of complete books on it and find it pretty good.....cant really see what Kindle would offer over it - open to correction though :pac:

Not for me, I use Kindle for iPhone as well as Stanza on a pretty much daily basis. I have a US Amazon account too, books are around $10 but I can sometimes get them cheaper through Books on Board or Fictionwise.
