Link to garmin 405 update 2.5, I can't seem to find it anywhere, I've tried looking and am getting frustrated, my garmin has been acting up the last few weeks. Thanks

Thanks for that, it's telling me my watch is already up to date, I don't remember doing it, I guess I'll go for the full reset.

Can i jump in here slightly off topic...

Every day for a while now my garmin 305 tells me that while my avearage pace was e.g. 7:30 per mile, my best pace was 0:54. Now while I might have improved a tad I'm fairly sure I haven't gone that fast even in the car. Any reason for this? Generally it only lasts for a few seconds, so overall pace and distance doesn't end up too far off, but would like to fix it. Also HRM might be saying 150bpm and then might slowly drop ending at about 38bpm, which again is highly unlikely on a run, particularly when I'm at 0:54min mile pace (Battery is new enough).

    Thanks.

The 2.4 to 2.5 update only makes a change to how the transfers from the watch to the ANT agent happen if I remember correctly, so unless that is the issue you having it won't make a lot of difference.

off topic but i picked up a 405, initial impressions are i'm not feeling the love. i've told myself RTFM a couple of times, but there are more options on the watch than pages in the manual. think i'll be looking for a grind from someone at some stage?.

Amazing videos for learning all you want

The HR drop happened with mine, try taking the battery out, fiddle a little with the gold things where the battery sits on the HRM strap, and leave it out for about a half an hour, then put it back in and it should work fine for you!

Its a great training tool when you get into it, i feel like its a run wasted when i leave it at home or the battery is dead!

Persist, the benefits are totally worth any initial teething pain. If there's any specific bits you need advice on let me know, otherwise RTFM and go onto the MotionBased forum, which should give you the help you need. I wouldn't have improved (or had the motivation) at the rate I did without it, although I am a bit of a stat-head.
