Watching V & they keep referring to "The First Resistance". Is this a reference to the original series ( in which case why does no-one remember the events) or is there something else to come along ?

I haven't seen the latest episode but I would assume it refers to the people who knew there were Vs on earth before the motherships

The 5th Column was introduced in the third ep. - well, some guy in the back of a diner. It's either a cell already on earth or a resistance movement on their home planet, one assumes.
