Bounced pay cheque - help - what to do next?

I have a major problem with a previous employer. I was always paid monthly, by cheque. I gave the required notice period and ceased to work for the company on Monday 9th November. My last pay cheque comprised one weeks pay and one weeks holiday leave and was told to wait a while before lodging. I contacted the office on Wednesday 11th November to see what the account status was. I was told by another staff member that they would check and get back to me. After hearing nothing I lodged the cheque on Thursday 12th November. However, the cheque has since unfortunately bounced.

My boss will not return my calls or emails, and refuses to speak with me when I call the office. I am told by other staff members that only she can discuss this with me, but seeing as she won't speak with me I can't do very much on this score!

The situation with bounced cheques isn't exactly uncommon there - I'm still waiting for the cheque to be returned by the bank so can't do anything but wait and re-lodge it again but I don't hold out much hope for it clearing a second time. However I will keep getting charged by the bank about this. What are my options to proceed with this?

    Your options are:-
    1. Sue on the cheque. If it is for less than 6.3K, it will be by civil process in the District Court.

    2. Make a complaint under the Payment of Wages Act to the Rights Commissioner.

    3. Make a complain to the Guards under the Theft Acts. ( It is difficult to get the guards interested in cases like this)
