    hi ,

had chorus digital+ installed yesterday( in the kildare area ) and I'am having an issue with it working with a panasonic TH42PV80EY in so far as the whites on the screen are blindingly white so much so that i have to adjust the brightness way down.

Then I have to turn it ( brightness) up when i want to watch a video  also I noticed that the picture is not as sharp as the old connection.

is this normal before i get onto chorus support ?.

    regards

    brendan

Is your UPC box black (like the last Digital TV Box on this page)? If so the box is faulty. Common problem with this type of box according to UPC engineer. I had the same problem as you describe, got the black box replaced with the older silver one and the picture quality is much better.

Were you able to get the problem solved OP? We recently had Digital+ installed and the picture is decidedly brighter, whites and light colours practically bleaching into each other. Have been adjusting with the TV settings but am wondering now if it's just a problem with the box (also the black Thomson model).

Got Digital+ at the weekend and had the same problem, changed the picture settings on the box from RGB to standard and the picture looks great now.

I have terrible quality on my digital reception. Also no HDMI slot on UPC box.
