I don't like this show myself. It essentially promotes a 'greed is good' attitude. I feel sorry for the people who get screwed by the dishonest cretins.

Seen it the first time yesterday, I would kill the guy that lied if I was that woman. I couldn't understand how they were predicting the amounts in the balls either (maybe because I missed the start?)

essentially, yes.

starts with 4 contestants. they all get 4 'golden balls' in front of them. in each golden ball you could get a cash amount (could be anything from £50 - £50,000 or something), or a 'Killer'.

the significance of the 'Killer' ball, is that at the end they could make you lose money. i'll explain in a minute...

of the 4 balls in front of them, there are 2 at the front, and 2 at the back. each contestant reveals to everyone else what they have in their front balls, then they all look at their 2 balls at the back privately. then they all have to argue that they are worth bringing to the next round, and convince everyone else that they have good balls, and at the same time accuse others of having sh*t balls. after a period of arguing, they all vote for who they want to get rid of along with their balls. the one with the highest votes gets knocked out. those 3 contestants chucks their balls (killers included) back into play and the same thing happens for another round.

after the next round, there are 2 of them left. they then do a game where they pick balls at random, and that money accumilates into their prize pot. as they go along, if the pick a 'killer' ball, their prize fund goes down by 10%.

once they have their prize fund set, say £10k, there's the last choice. they each have to choose whether to 'steal' or 'split'.

if both 'steal', nobody gets anything.
if both 'split', they split the money 50/50.
if one picks 'steal' and one 'split', the one who picked 'steal' gets all the money.

they convince each other that they'll both split for a couple of minutes, they then choose a 'steal' ball or a 'split' ball without the other knowing. then on the count of three they reveal what's in their balls.

so basically you win if you're a greedy bast*rd and a great liar.

horrible show. i've seen it maybe 5 times. i've yet to see a show where one of them isn't a vile sh*t and steals all the money.

it's also fun to say balls...
