Special Olympics Ireland seeks volunteers to help in planning 2010 Special Olympics Ireland Games
Your chance to be part of something very special in Limerick!

The 2010 Special Olympics Ireland Games will take place in Limerick from 9-13th June. This will be one of the most prestigious sporting events to take place in Ireland next year with 1,900 athletes from throughout participating in 13 sports in venues throughout Limerick.

Such events do not happen by accident and require a great deal of advanced planning and preparation. As part of our drive to recruit 3,500 volunteers to help us to run the Games, Special Olympics Ireland is organising a series of volunteer information sessions over the next 2 weeks for people who would like to get involved NOW in the PLANNING of the Games.

Volunteer information sessions will take place in the Jean Monnet Theatre, Main University Building, University of Limerick, on the following dates:

    10.30am: Saturday November 21st
    7pm: Monday November 23rd
    10.30am & 1.30pm: Saturday November 28th

All are very welcome to attend!

    Please note:

We will also be recruiting volunteers in early January 2010 for individuals who are not in a position to get involved now but would like to apply to be a volunteer for the five days of the games in June. Further details on these sessions will be announced in January through local press and radio. Information will also be available on www.specialolympics.ie
