just came across this site, seems like a great option for people with out a car or for those who do not want to go all the way up to the north! Look at the Sainsburys promotions on drink! you can get 2 crates for 15 pounds, they only want 10% of your total order price as commition with no delivery charge if you live in dublin!

10% of total order, but min charge of 20 euros.

Yeah but minimum of E20 is fantastic! I drove up there a few weeks ago an impulsed bought just to justify going up there! ad in my toles and fuel and time and I reckon the deal is fantastic! I went up there to see what the hype was about, and maybe if you have a family its worth going up or if your closeish to the border, but i would not go up again... not because its not significantly cheaper but because of the time and expense in getting up there and then finding parking etc etc etc! It took me an hour and a half to get from the border into newry!

Seems great...anyone used this before? Beats joining the queues and sitting in traffic waiting to get into newry and then into car parks!!

I have used them for 3 big asda shops from belfast, had no problems at all with them, just waiting for stuff to run out and will be back again.

looks like an ingenius idea, ill defo be using them in the run up to christmas...the €20 min delivery fee is reasonable, average car would use that driving up North, good to see positive comments on the service....

how would it work though with frozen items???

Wow, not much further than me and the trip usually costs around €5 to Lisburn.

Avoid the toll, just drive through Drogheda, it's not too busy and only adds a few mins to the journey.

I would highly recommend dealhunter for delivering your food and drink!

It is a bit of hassle using the ASDA site (like any online food site it can take ages) but when you have done it once it is much easier the next time! You can add a previous shop to your basket so it really speeds things up!

Without a doubt there is huge savings to be made from shopping in ASDA so defintely try it!!

Does anyone know what's the story with frozen items? I'm in Galway.

Also, is there any limit on say alcohol amounts etc.? Just cos they would be heavy/bulky items?

They dont deliver frozen food which is understandable as they would have to seperate it from the normal food so it doesnt defrost!

In regards to the alcohol amount you would need to contact them, I doubt they would appreciate a full order of drink but I would say 25% of my order was drink and there was no problem!

Have used this service both before and after it changed hands and no problem either time. It is illegal for dealhunter or anyone else to bring drink into Ireland for you as far as I know, you might want to discuss the matter further with them before ordering.

I have just discussed ordering from asda with dealhunter and they have confirmed that they cannont transport drink over the border.

Unsure where this leaves the service as they seem to have done it in the past going by previous posts on this forum.

What did you expect them to say, yes we are open to breaking the law??

Bit stupid in my opinion, instead of saying nothing until Dealhunter tell you that they cant do it!

how stupid ? if i spend a nice amount of money with asda on drink and get it delivered to the address that dealhunter provide in belfast which is a self storage company address and dealhunter refuse to deliver it on to me, where would i stand then?

its not like asda would come back and take the products from the storage area and refund me.

Ok maybe not stupid, just not clever!

If you had of done your research you would have read that I and many others have received drink, we all had the intelligence not to directly ask if they delivered drink or not!

You may have just ruined it for the rest of us, nice one
