    Guys , is there much to replacing a motherboard on a laptop?i have done this before...its a compaq presario laptop..i only have the laptop about 16 months and the motherboard is f**ked

    Not much, just have to remember where all the connection go, Google for the "Technical Service Manual" for your model.

    If you hav't already priced the new MB, it prob going to be ~80% of the cost of a new system.

    Last time I was digging around inside my laptop, I took pictures as I went using my phone. Was very handy for some of the trickier little wires when I couldn't remember exactly where they went. :)
