Review of social Welfare entitlement

    Hi,

    I have been on JSA since March 10th 2009. Still haven't got a job and really frustrated about it.

    Anyway today i got a letter (hand delivered) dated today (Tue 17th nov 2009) stating that the Social Welfare Inspector wants to meet me tomorrow at 2pm to discuss my entitlement for social welfare.

    I have been looking for work the whole time and have print out of applications / cvs / cover letters.

    The letter asked for:
    -ID
    -Income details = obviously dont have any
    -Bank statements
    -Lease agreement
    They didnt ask for Job applications but Im guessing I should bring some.

    I have like 6-7 handy from the last 6 weeks - would this be enough?

    Anyone else get one of these letters - should I be worried. I'm pretty screwed if I stop getting JSA.

    any advice would be v helpful!!

    This is most likely a random check to see if you are fully entitled to what you are claiming, they will be asking you to prove to them what you filled in on the application form for the JA....

    Sorry for late reply.

    It was a fraud analysis check! he said they pick a 10% of people on JSA and bring them in to ensure their means are what they say they are. Was fine actually - the guy was sound - just checked my bank statements etc.

    Anybody who gets the letter - I wouldnt worry just bring all ur docs and even a few job apps and you'll be fine.

    What do ye think re the budget - is the jsa gona be cut back a lot?
