    Hey Guys,

Getting a new hdtv for xmas and as far as I can tell the Samsung LE40B650/651 is the best set at our budget (800-850 incl delivery).

According to HDTVtest.co.uk it seems to be the best at that budget and I assume thats a good hdtv review site.

Does anyone know if it supports Irish DTT ? I know the Komplett one supports MPEG-4 which I assume means it supports Irish DTT but I am getting mine from Pixmania, mainly because they have it at the same price (860incl delivery) and they offer 2 years warranty compared to one, and don't know if their model is the exact same one.

Also, I assume the TV can decode analogue signals ?

Anyway, If ye think a different model would be better, please do tell.

    Thanks,
    Barry.

It should see the Irish signal, but not the EPG , RTÉ have not yet finalised(officially) the coding.
And yes it should still pick up "analogue".

(Actually if you think of it the MPEG4 ,or any tuner adds more bulk to the panel. If you have a SKY/NTL/Freesat style box why is the tuner so important?)

because RTE TV is not available on Freesat.
