    Hi all,

I have been contacted by an employer by email who says they would be interested in me for a position they have available.

Is it possible to ask them for more details i.e what the salary is before I even tell them i'm available for interview or would this be totally frowned upon.

the reason is i have a job which I dont really like but if the salary in the new job is worse or the same I probably would not bother with it.

    Any thoughts?

It would be frowned upon. I know that seems a bit retarded, but that's the way it goes.
