Just wondering if I should get a PS3 for myself this Christmas, of course everyone in this thread is bound to say it's great and worth it and so on,
But what I want to know is where would be the best place to buy one?
I don't really care whether it's the Slim or original one, but what about the GBs and harddrives and stuff?
I'm new to all this considering I only have a PS2 :pac: so thought you guys could help with games/packages and all that

    Any help? Thanks in advance:)

    Hey,

I'm not too sure what the best deals are in shops over here but last night I picked up a 250gb Slim, Uncharted 2 and Modern Warfare 2 for £255 in the HMV at Stansted airport. A pretty good deal for loads of HDD space and 2 of the best games of the year if you ask me. If you're going to be in the UK before Christmas it might be worth considering?

Just checked some prices on Ryanair... you can get a return flight for as little as €16 from stanstead... December 2nd I think!

Fly over at 7am and return at 8pm for cheap! If ya dont mind waiting a few hours... it will save you alot of money compared to prices here...

Northern Ireland is only a few hours drive away from you [Leixlip?]. Why not cross the border and get that deal in HMV? It definitely is the best one you are going to find this year.

Just to clarify on my previous post. That bundle for £255 is only available in the HMVs that are in airports. The exact same bundle (250gb slim, MW2 and Uncharted 2) was £300 in HMV on Oxford Street. Still a good deal, not sure what it costs at HMV over here though.

yet its €300 for the 120gb with one game here... Wish I was closer to the border.

Actually, HMV deliver to Ireland so Im gonna order it from there now. Has anyone dealt with their shipping?

For a Recession I think the price of the Playstation 3 is over the top. come on 300 euro! . I dont know but this seems to be way out there to me in these times anyway.

Who cares about the recession? It was more even before it and Sony won't change the price.

When will there be a cut in PS3 prices? Is it say Stephens days or sometime in the new year?

Very doubtful. It only just received a price cut sure.
