    Guys,

    I have sky in the bedroom without a box actually in the bedroom. The box is located in the wardrobe in the small room and linked to my tv through a magic eye thing. (whole house was pre wired for multimedia) now as the TV is mounted on the wall im wanting to put a dvd player in the bedroom. Would the player be able to respond in the same way to the sky with a magic eye?

    I imagine i wouldnt be able to put a blu ray player in the ohter room and watch it in bedroom as the signal is sent to bedrooms though RF signal. So if i basically connect up a normal dvd player in the bedroom and link it to the point in main bedroom would a magic eye work?

    Although straight out of the box a dvd player wouldnt work as it has no inbuilt rf modulator although some dvd recorders although rare do.

    If the one you have doestnt you can get a modulator that will convert the scart connection to an rf signal. However you would need to open the door to control the dvd player.

    A new solution althought not cheap is the Triax Tri-Link Kit which has just been released and is an excellant piece of kit. It will alow you to control both the dvd player and sky box whilst hidden in a press. I dont know anywhere in your area that mite sell one so I include a link for an ebay auction that might interst you..

    Thats brillaint...Thanks a lot...If just getting an RF modulator to convert the scart to RF signal..What do you mean by opening the door?

    so the remote can see the dvd player.



    You could use something like a logitech 1000 remote with extender (a bit on the expensive side though)
