I don't really see the relevance, but it was marked up in Cyclelogical for 1100 I think, and the brakes were around 150

So he can Guage exactley how much of a loss you are making.

Bigger the loss the more attractive it is to buy.

If he was genuine he'd know exactley how much it costs new.

Well, possibly, but it doesn't really matter... I could have been given the bike as a gift, or built it up from the frame, or been able to get a good deal from Cliff in the store... basically, what matters is if it's worth what I'm asking for it, which it is :)

It retailed new for around 1500 or so when new, and was marked down in a sale to about 1100 -so I think 700 is a fair price :)

I had one of these bikes and it was around €1300 in Cycleogical at the time.
I know this one has had some upgrades so €700 seems to be a very good price alright.

Tiny if I remember correctly you only got that bike in the Spring but I could be wrong about that.

Not enough time to properly get into it, and apartment too small to have it sitting around basically

    Hey Tiny,
are you sure about that size guide? I was trying to find one online & while I couldn't find one for your Kikapu this one suggests 5'5"->5'10".
Also, what year is your Kona?

I'm going on my own perception really, I'm 6' and it fits great, hense why I'm saying a couple inches either side of that. What height are you?

It's a 2005 frame I think, but as I say, I purchased it last year!

I've been told to keep an eye out for a bike which would suit both my siblings (5'6", 5'11") .... I'll probably end up with a bike that doesn't suit either of them very well.
The Kona size guides online seemed fairly encouraging about the 18" frames but according to your reports it'd unfortunately be too big.

    Tiny,

That bike is the 2006 model. I'm nearly sure yours is 19inch.

I had the same model a couple of years ago, it was an 18" and I remember when I saw yours it was bigger than the one I had.

Tiny I hope you dont mind me jumping in here...
I'm 6'3" and the mtb which I use on the trails is an 18" frame, I have one that I use for xc and that is 21.5" and my roadie is a 58cm (should be a 60cm though) so frame size really depends on what you use it for. The 18" I use is great for the twisting and turning single trak while the 21.5" is great for straight line speed... Now I'm no expert but you could do a lot worse than to get an 18" for the mix of heights you require the bike to serve, from my experience, my GF who is 5'5" ish cycles the 18" frame without any trouble once the saddle is dropped for her height.
