Who gets the top drive though? ;)

Haha Lewis has that sewn up, no question.. I reckon Button will have an absolutely torrid time at McLaren, always being no.2 and Hamilton Sr. buzzing around the garage will hardly help matters for him.

Hope to God that i'm proven wrong though, and button wipes the floor with the little Sh!t...

I don't think it necessarily has to be a case of one driver being favoured over the other (though Button will carry the No.1 on his car of course). The reason I say this is because I don't think Button would be able to beat Hamilton over a full season given equal equipment.

def hamilton without a doubt, button isnt even in d same league.

ya i dont tink its a question of who is favoured more a question of talent and hamilton wins hands down.

+1, let it be like 2007 when Alonso and Hamilton were too busy howling at each other to drive...

there isnt a hope ham will be playing 2nd fiddle, his their golden boy plus his more talent in his little finger dan button. Button will be lucky if he gets to feed off hamiltons scraps:D

2 very different drivers in the same car, they have very contrasting styles so i can see one of them suffering alot, possibly Button.

If you had have asked this last year, I would have said hamilton without a doubt but I think button has shown he has a lot of latent talent and only needs a bit of love to perform.

As a McLaren fan I'm delighted to, ;)

I do think Ham will come out on top over the season, but consider the above statement, and think of this -

Next year the cars go out on full tanks, as refuelling is gone, so conserving tyres will be very important, and we know Hamilton is quite hard on them (china 2007) and that Button is so easy on them they hardly come up to temp.
Lewis will have to drastically alter his 'throw about' style if he is to show Button up.

Next years regs should suit Button, which might give him more of a chance.

The one thing that will help Button is that he has a tendancy to drive poorly with an understeering car and the McLarens have traditionally been a very pointy car so that should allow him to perform as well as he can. Still can't see him being anywhere as consistently quick as Hamilton over a season

I think its going to be hard for Jenson, but considering the car development they were able to do during the year, it could be the car and team to have next season. I think it will be close between red bull, brawn and mclaren. Mclaren being the experienced team should be able to get results as long as the loss of Kerrs doesn't hurt them too much

I don't think Jenson will be like Alonso at the team, I would see Jenson being more like Coultard, being able to match Hamilton some of the time and supporting him the rest of the time. McLaren are one of the fairest teams, it will be up to the drivers to make it work and don't see them fighting like other drivers might

Good point, but I think they are a quality team and if they get the car right nothing will stop them.

Luca driving his two new stars straight into the quicksand, never to be seen again. :)

I can see the Drivers title going to McClaren, but it will not be retainedby Button.

Hamiliton is just a better overall driver, all things equal button cannot and will not be able to compete with him.

LOL what the hell was he thinking :pac:

Luca? Probably just relying on latin instinct. Massa jumps out to help, while Alonso looks at the two muppets, shakes his head, walks off and puts on his shades without bothering.

Ahhhhh interesting times ahead for the smugmeisters.

    lol at Alonsos jumper

McLaren dream teem for attracting British sponsors, on the track not so much.
Interesting button signed a 3 year contract, exactly the same time McLaren have agreed to buy back their 40%.
How much is 40% of McLaren worth anyway?
