WWE RAW emanates from Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York.
Tonight's WWE RAW main event, as announced last week, will be D-Generation X vs. JeriShow vs. John Cena & The Undertaker.

Also in action will be WWE Divas champion Melina against Alicia Fox.
The RAW guest host tonight will be WWE Hall Of Famer "Rowdy" Roddy Piper.

The last show before SS hopefully should be good and with Piper an excellent choice as guest host maybe Piper's Pit back tonight

I wouldn't expect much from Taker tonight as he was in Dublin on Saturday, Belfast last night and is obviously flying straight to NY for Raw tonight. That would nearly kill anyone in their peak never mind the stage Taker is at now..

yep there has been somewhat of an oldschool feel to it so far, the crowd seem really up for it but i guess Santino's Jersey antics, Hornswaggle and DX opening the show could be the reason for that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,732 ✭✭✭Reganio 2

I thought they were turning Heel, but I guess them stretchering him out shows they care so are still Face.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 22,933 Mod ✭✭✭✭Bounty Hunter

    hahahaha Chris Masters FTW

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,083 ✭✭✭waltersobchak

i was so hoping for the brooklyn brawler vs sheamus!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,473 ✭✭✭✭Super-Rush

Blood and a table spot and still got the main event to go?? Pity its not held in the Garden every week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 908 ✭✭✭The Cannibal

King to get Sheamus eliminated at Survivor Series?

Did Piper slip an F-Bomb in there on Vince? I wasn't certain.

Cena vs Undertaker at Wrestlemania? That wouldn't be the worst thing ever,Cena would probably win though haha

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,473 ✭✭✭✭Super-Rush

What a pop for Taker when he drilled Cena.

Id actually love to see that match, it would really embellish the streak if Taker beat Cena..

Completly agree. The 1st Raw in a while that didn't suck, with the exception of Ozzy's Raw.

The new intro is brilliant!! No HD set this week either. Master's is brilliant, I bet the Black eyed Peas were impressed with that display. Delighted that leprachaun was pedigreed, hopefully he'll be out for a while. LOL at the little stretcher for him. Great way to finish the show with Cena getting a tombstone!!

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 22,933 Mod ✭✭✭✭Bounty Hunter

i knew it, what did Raw need for it to get back to being good? why me watching it of course :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,943 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

    raw 7/10.

too many crap skits but some good moments like that midget getting pedigreed straight to hell and taker tombstoning cena. sheamus aint gettin much heat is he?

Great to see Kofi getting a Jeff Hardy Style Push.

Orton is a crap wrestler form a technical point of view but some of the Brawls and Spots he is involved in are brilliant.

I wish RAW was from MSG every week.

Great to see wwe in the process of creating new stars, maybe there should be a thread praising booking like Kofi's last night;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,528 ✭✭✭✭dsmythy

Well they did a good job to generate interest for Survivor Series. Let's see if it pays off. Back to normal for Raw next week though i fear.

As far as I can see it, this Raw was a direct response to Hogan's comments about getting TNA into another Monday Night War style war with WWE. This was the best Raw of 2009 for a reason!

    The reason? MSG.

Wow! It actually took me more than 25 mins to watch an episode of Raw! If only it were like this every week (minus the stupid DX merch plugs!).

You both have a case because it can come across as it were Vince flexing his muscles to show that he can pull out the big guns whenever he wants to. But i did state myself earlier that its more than likely because it was held in MSG and i'll hold onto that opinion.

Brilliant episode. Hell, just having three of the all time greats on screen at once alone made it brilliant.

I can't decide which Chris had the better facials during this.

They seriously need to push Masters as a face now. Guy's a f**king legend :D

one of the better RAWs in a long time

    I'm enjoying the Kofi/Orton feud

Cena prob got the biggest boos of the night

I agree Masters as a face would work he needs a push now maybe add him to the Miz/Swagger feud

u guys are just wwe marks because raw only had 17 minutes of wrestling in a 2 hour show. piper was ****ing horrible as host and while the kofi and orton and main event finale were good it was a poor show.

Everyone has their own opinions on it so don't go around calling us "WWE Marks" just because we liked this week's Raw. Take out the commercials, you don't have a 2 hour show. How many minutes is there of wrestling is in a normal Raw.

Compared to the last couple of Raw's, this weeks one was excellent. Piper was a great host's in comparison to the 2 Nascar drivers (who called Kofi Kingston Kofi Johnson). Piper's Pit with Vince was great to watch esp the digs at Hogan, Hornswoggle getting pedigree'd, Cena getting tombstoned, Kofi moving up to main-event status with his feud with Orton
and Swagger & Bourne put on another great match.

I dunno how you can criticise that show, at the end of the day, this is how Raw HAS to be, ie entertaining, and leaving you wanting to see the matches on ppv instead of having them constantly on free to air television, Raw has been getting better over the last few weeks, and if they concretrate on having some really good undercard and mid card matches, and decent storylines, people will watch..

I would go along with that.

Smackdown and ECW always concentrate more on matches than RAW do. RAW is more about entertainment and this weeks RAW pulled off some good entertainment and moments to remember. Using the mid card to provide some good matches on RAW is more of what wwe should do with RAW.
