    Hi Cormac,

You can't max spend straight away. You can spend €150 for 10k and if you drop back to 5k or less you can do you 2nd rebuy for 10k

JP - maybe I'm blind but is the Sat game a one day event or do you expect players to have to come back on the Sun to finish it?

    Thanks.

Jp, do you know yet when you expect to start back on the Sunday for the ME?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,709 ✭✭✭YULETIRED

Ok probably a stupid question, but is the ME deffo a two day event?

Would play on the Sat but can't make Sunday.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 539 ✭✭✭gorrrr72

Good to see you last Friday. How did you do in the end?

JP runs this game on a Sunday as you probably know. 3pm start, 30k stack 20 minute blinds 30ish runners and it usually finishes around 10pm.

I would think he'll get at least 70 players and adding 10 mins to each blind level I would think at least 25 players would be coming back.
Being in Molloys means it has to finish up by 1am. So even if it was down to 10 or 12 players, unless they agreed to some kind of crazy deal they would have to come back on the Sunday.

thanks for the info, guess I'm out of this one so. :-(

Finished off the money, my own fault on previous table as CL with over 100k, tried to get a biddy to lay down A10 after my preflop raise, then putting her all in on the 10 high flop with my mere 14 outs. Had aggro image so I don't blame her call, (quite impressed really) after that my set of Qs was called down till some guy pushed the river when the boards hits every draw out there. After that it was crapshoot time so that was all she wrote. Really enjoyed the game and the craic,
Bit donkey from me but I just wanted a game so wasn't really too bothered either way (guess it makes me the value in that mood)

UL yerself. Phil runs good but I guess he deserves it.

As this is a ranking event it would be good to see some of the top players take it down. ( Emmet needs a follow up) Gl with it. I may well turn up and give it a spin.
    Great structure btw

    Hi All,

The Cap for this weekends game is 100 Max.

To be honest I'm expecting 60-80 players which will still be a nice price pool.

With some forward planning and good infastructure it is possible to carry this out.
At the '08 irish masters i managed to play 3 tables at the 1 time. Having a nice stack early in the main event i took somewhat of a beat and knowing how prone i am to tilt i wandered off for a while and played a 1/2 cash table , then somebody announced 1 seat left for a sng for the side event , so i got them to put a stack out for me , I didnt go over to it until i seen they were down to 5 players and i hit 6 hands in succession and took it down (sick i know). I then cashed out of the 1/2 table for about 300 profit and returned to the main event:D.
Now there is one important ingredient you will need to pull this off.
    ALCOHOL (and lots of it)
