Battlefield 1943 - Anyone Still Play It?

Do EA have any plans to release new maps for the game? It's getting stale very quickly and badly needs some new maps. I'm an ok player, I'd normally be up in the top three but lately I've been dominating alot of the matches which leads me to believe that alot of good players must have given up on the game and stopped playing it.

So are you still playing it or have you moved on?

Might give it a go again so. I got fed up of being destroyed by much better players.

I still play it now and then. I also find myself in the top three most matches, and am racking up a great number of kills each match, regularly getting 20-25.

I don't know if thats due to the good players leaving or me getting better...I like to think the latter:P

Well i play it on the Xbox every now and again as a chill out game. Its faily easy to do well on it so now i just focus on getting the medals i havent got yet.

I was a big fan of 1942, but I don't like using controllers to FPS's. Might get it for the PC - Anyone know if the system requirements are heavy? I only have a 256mb gfx card.

I've tried to find the PC requirements but haven't had much luck I'm afraid.

No worries, kinda bogged down with college anyways to game. Does anyone know if it's possible to use a keyboard and mouse with a PS3 instead of the controller?

You can but as far as I'm aware the game needs to support them.

Oh ok I'm just so comfortable with mouse & keyboard for FPS's, I never really bothered with my PS3 for them.

It was a great filler when there was no other games out for a while... well worth 13euro!

I'd say its served it purpose now that MW2 is out. i was terrible at ground combat anyway, rarely got a decent kill count, and I missed the Killcam.

Still, it was a great game, the aerial combat was flawless, unlike some of the bigger titles.

Playing it alot at the moment, only really getting to grips with it and now, slowly but surely moving up the leaderboard. I like it because it's almost instant online play and the matches seem to last for the right length of time.

I feel there is alot of room for improvement, it can get boring using the same weapons all the time. I also think there should be some kind of beneficial attribute when choosing a class e.g. If you choose to be a sniper, then non snipers cannot see you if you are a certain distance away.

I go with Rifleman 80% of the time.

I love it, so much infact I went out and got bad company again. Now my life is in hold on till BC2 comes out

I aint played it since I got the 100% trophies, but maybe if we could organise a game some time I would play for sure...Modern Warfare 2 is taking up my gaming time at the moment though and will be for some time...

P.S. tried googling, but all i came up with was problems relating to the launch date.

I think it might be possible that no one is playing it anymore. Not at the moment anyway. Bad company 2 is taking up everyones time

It is possible. I played BF1943 on Saturday evening and the games had full 24 players, so it's not dead at "rush hour" at least.

What time is rush hour? Been hankering for a game for a while.
