Hopefully someone can help here, Not getting anysignal on the Sky+, given the error code of 29. From what I gather this is to do with the calbe / dish. I did get a digibox working for a while, saturday night / Sunday morning, but now there is nothing. I have looked at the cables on the roof and the seem to be ok. Connections to the LNB are tight and dry. Any other suggestions as to what might get it going? I have a sky engineer calling out next Monday, but would like some TV between now and then.

Sky.com not an option as I have no broadband at home.

Sounds like either a cable problem or the dish has moved. First thing I would suggest would be to swap the two inputs on the back of your box

i.e. take input no2 and put it into input no1. I would suggest unplugging the box when doing this. If the original signal no2 cable was working but the signal 1 cable is damaged then the box will show no signal. By reversing them you may get a picture back but wont be able to record one channel and watch another. You would be only be able to record the channel your watching. You would then need the second cable repaired or replaced..

Other than that it may be that the dish is offline.

Cheers for that, I have tried all combinations of cables, SKY+ not working. I did however get a Digibox working using 1 cable, but not on the other. I also checked where I used to have the Multi-room, again no signal. I tried to move the dish, bit is seems well bolted to the wall, this now has me thinking the LNB is knackered.

Guess I will just ave to wait til next Monday and watch fuzzy TV til then..

Did you check the bracket that controls the horizontal and vertical angles ?

Ok, found the problem. When we got Sky+ in we also got Multiroom. The engineer decided to run the cables intot he attic and connect them with the existing cabling for the TV points. These connections broke, on Saturday when I was putting stuff into the attic. Since I played with the dish, it seems that I did move it and now the dish re-aligned and 2 cables re-run, rather than re-connected, Broke once will break again.
