    Hi All;

    I been looking at runners for cross country and i have seen two types, so like to know which is the best:

    First type is your standard looking runner with the spikes and the standard sole on it.

    The second type is your standrd looking runner with the spikes but the sole has all little pimples on it???

    which ones are the best to get?

    Thanks

    If there is next to no depth to the rubber part of the sole and it is flat then they are probably middle distance track shoes, if there is zero sole then they will be sprint ones. The ones that have a bit of grip on the sole as well will be XC ones.

    I have a pair of middle distance track ones that I use and they are suitable for doing track races as well as the cross country. The extra bit of grip on the sole of the specific XC ones won't make a whole lot of difference.
