.....just need some advice. I'm going to the Beyonce concert next Monday and it starts at 6.30 I think. We have 2 standing tickets and I was wondering what would be a good time to arrive as we would like to get a good spot. Plus is there any support acts?

well if you want to get a spot up the front I'd say get there for 6.30.

If you have a look at www.mcd.ie they'll probably be able to tel you when stage times are.

It depends how close you want to be. There'll probably be people queueing outside from before 5:00 trying to get as near to the stage as possible. Most standing gigs, especially for acts like Beyonce, have a queue forming by late afternoon.

Don't know about Beyonc, but at a metal gig, there'd be a very long queue an hour before the doors open.
And be ready to shell out E6 for a pint
Of which you have a choice of 2 or three drinks, one of which is Guinness.

I was at Beyonce and there were gangs of girls there from 3pm. There is a very young crowd at Beyonce gigs.

I recorded the following video last time @ The O2 which shows the positions you'll be in competition for:

Just make sure you eat in town before you go to 02. There are virtually no places around 02 where you can eat and the "food" in 02 is vile - on a par with a cineplex

Put it this way, when I arrived (for work, I'm not a Muppet) at 2pm on the day of muse there were already about 500-1000 people there

Just wanted to say that this was an amazing concert, completely blown away. Didn't come on stage until 8.30 but it was well worth the wait and a brilliant 2 hours was had by all. Can't wait until she comes back again.
