Laptop (Compaq Presario A935EM) wont charge or power on with mains charge

    hi,i have a Compaq Presario A935EM Notebook PC that i bought over a year ago.It was working finr till the other day.I normally have it plugged in to a mains socket with the battry inside it.Now it wont turn on when i have it plugged in.the battery wont work either.There is no lights on the laptop now to indicidate anything.it seems totally dead...could it be the system boards..?any ideas?

    Get a multi meter and test the power supply chance's are your motherboard is gone and you cant relly test it on less you take your laptop apart and on less you no what you are doing its not a good idea its not as if compaq or hp would think of puting a fuse on the motherboard in case of a power spike :mad:
