Courier Services - Dublin

    I work for an ebusiness which sells beauty products. The nature of the business means they send a lot of outward mail. They use anpost for deliveries anywhere outside of Co. Dublin and their own staff conduct deliveries within Co. Dublin.

    They offer a same day delivery service in Dublin and i believe the driver is struggling to get them done in time. They ideally need to hire another driver to operate a more efficient service but cant justify the cost.

    Do you think think their is a market for this company to deliver other businesses mail within Dublin? This would generate extra revenue for the company which would partially pay the new couriers wages. I would imagine their rates would be fixed (size/weight) and quite cheap for a same day delivery service...

    Any thoughts welcome

    I run a company that does Dublin same day deliveries. Why not just outsource your Dublin deliveries? I would imagine its much cheaper than hiring a second driver and trying to enter an industry that , with respect, you would likely know very little about

    With Barry on this. If you really want to go into the courier business I would buy a fastway franchise area off someone, I'd say you should be able to get one pretty cheap at the moment. But I would stick to the beauty products myself.
