    On 3.1.1, 64gb iPod touch

I thought that this would be a well-documented issue, but it seems not.
Has anyone else had this problem? Solutions?

    It's only third-party apps...

Try downloading a new app, or removing and redownloading one.

    Tried it all.

What I've yet to do is to (re-)authorize the laptop I'm using. Should already be authorised but it might be the very simple solution I'm sure exists.

If it works I'll say so here. One more solution for the catalog :D

Sign out and back in in Settings > Store?

In net cafe, gotta get home first.

No wife in GF's house, will it need to authorise online for this if I'm just signing out and in?

Right. To no avail I have tried:

    1. Rebooting.
    2. Erasing all apps via the ipod and then resyncing.
    3. Erasing and redownloading all apps.
    4. Signing in and out of iTunes.
    5. De- and re-authorising my account.
    6. Restoring and syncing the ipod.
    7. Updating iTunes and iPod software to latest versions and doing all the above. Again.

Having spent nearly 20 quid on long-wanted apps today, I am sorely pissed.

It wasn't an app I got today, it hasn't been working in a few days. Just stopped randomly.

    SOLVED

For others who might have the same problem now or in the future:

    1. Make sure iPhone is unplugged from machine.
    2. On iPhone, delete all 3rd party apps via wiggle/click 'x'
    3. Open iTunes, go to applications and delete all the apps - not just from iTunes, but actually send them to the recycle bin.
    4. Reboot iPhone and mac/pc.
    5. Open iTunes (still no connection between iPhone and iTunes) and download all the apps again. You won't have to pay for anything a second time.
    6. Plug in iPhone and sync.

All without having to restore your iPhone. It's worth noting that I tried every solution on the internet before this one because they were all less work but this is the only one that will definitely solve this problem.
