Ok so i got it all installed yesterday *Friday*
Was in work at time brother was at home so first thing first installer switched the cards with my standard box and sky plus box. Put plus card in hd box and visa versa he reason was cause hd boxs need the main source card ??

Now i have a ****ing problem that sky on there systems see me as having two boxs and one box has two cards meaning i have lost the plus recording section of my original sky plus box and they are working on gettin back half my channels which i also lost and my recording. Women on phone said may take up to a week at worst and they would lower my bill for 6 months.

So this is before i even get to check the HD box out :p

First thing first sound is bloody awful!! is this a problem many have?
Now i dont use my tv speakers i have a cinema system a bloody good one which i bought for more then 700 euro 9.1 channel more 800 watts power it works amazing with my pc for music videos so on and with my games consoles.

But its dirt on my hd box even though i tried it with both optical and plain audio cable i have to turn system up a fair bit to get any sort of sound and its still missing that punch of bass that everything else gets *I tested my pc with both cables works perfect*

I also noticed that on certain tv shows on hd channels example futurama was on sky1 and on sky1 hd. The hd channel version wasnt full screen was at least half the standard version was full screen wtf??

Are you telling me certain programs that were not done in hd will not be full screen on the hd channels??

Not good start here for high def lads

All i know is im missing the main features and channels of my sky plus box my sound on hd box is bollox and picture is doing funny things on certain shows.

Its a pace box by way if that helps lol.

audio should be optical to your amp. you will need to change the settings on the hd box too reflect this. (hdmi fron sky hd only sends a stereo signal)

presume it is connected via hdmi hd box to tv, (or are you sending the signal to your amp and using that or switching?)

Are you telling me certain programs that were not done in hd will not be full screen on the hd channels
Yes, most notable on SkyONEHD, the rest of the channels are fine, newer programs like Lost, Fringe etc are perfect
Discovery etc are all in full screen

On your sound query, I had no such experience, sound was perfect 5.1 via optical
