I am currently working in the north, while living in the south. I was wondering was there a way in which my national insurance contribution could be used as a means of providing me with a medical card in the south?

I think if your income is within the threshold to be eligible for a Medical Card, you are entitled to one - regardless of which country your income comes from.

I don't UK National Insurance contributions have anything to do with it.
