How Many days does dole stay for collection Post Office

    Hi im just wondering if any can answer my query. My dole is available for collection every wednesday but unfortunatly i wont be able to collect it on that day. So does it be sent back or will i be able to collect it on friday? & how long does it stay availabe if not claimed?

    Thats how it was with mine.

    Tuesday used to be my day to collect it, but i could get it monday, tuesday or wednesday if i wanted.


    May vary from place to place or person to person though.

    I collect my on a tuesday and its there till the following monday.

    does that mean u dont really have to collect it tuesdays at all then really you can collect it pretty much any day?

    Correct found out mine stays for collection until tuesday

    that may well be the case for you,however my mate has left his for 1 week and collected it then.

    It is only supposed to be there for three days. If it is there longer than that, that is a local arranagment, and there is no guarantee that the post office of the OP will have that arrangement.

    You are better off asking others in the locality about how long it is left there (remember though that OFP's and OAP's have a longer period when the payment can be collected)

    I am due to collect my payment tomorrow Friday, however I am away for the weekend and Monday is a Bank Holiday. Does that mean that it will still be there on Tuesday?

    i paid my self assessment tax i empanise the ass part of assessment cos i'm the ass payin yer dole:mad: sure yer not on bread line if u don't even need to collect it

    I do believe that you are looking for the word 'epitomise'.
    I was unaware that I had to be housebound year round due to the fact that; regardless of my continuous efforts to get a job, and having to burden my pensioner parents with my presence in their house, that I have been unable to get work. Are you oblivious to the state that our wonderful country is in? And is it that you are of the opinion that all who are claiming job seeker's allowance may just dig them selves a grave and not try to enjoy life in whatever little way they can? Whilst continuing to beg for jobs; having just put themselves through college and running up debt. I do apologise; for your ignorance. It must be lovely to have a life so exciting that you spend your time in forums bashing strangers, when knowing absolutely nothing about them/ their current situation/ their health and their personal being.
    I do hope your ignorance carries you through life unaware of it's true turmoil. Good day to you.

    not bashin people trying to get a job . only some people abuse the system a system they didn't put in place . i' m tryin to keep food on table all i get is letters frm revenue lookin fr money i can't give :mad:try holdin on to a bussiness all u get on way down is a shove down even further so emphanise i'm afraid is a word i can't afford these days self employeyed are entitled to very little and maybe rightly so . no hurt intended to the person who try's ;)

    Yes my father was self employed so I know it can be difficult. I understand that there are people who work the system in every which way they can. The government are to blame for that, it's ridiculous. There are however people who really need the help. (With any luck that's for the short term). Good luck with your business.

    Yeah, it'll stay there three days "officially" but mine is always there on the Monday (I also get it on the Wednesday).

    BTW, you bumped (posted in) a really old thread. You shouldn't do it.
    Try to look at the date the last post was made. If it's not too recent you should make a new thread. :)
