dropper dog question

    to all the dog men out there i have a question.is a proper dropper dog a cross between setter and a pointer as i have made a few calls and being told that the dogs are spaniel/setter or spaniel/pointer cross is it correct to call these dogs droppers:confused:
    im not making any judgement on it before it all kicks off im just interested.

    pointers crossed with setters are droppers, but its a term thats broadly used nowadays for any cross between gundog breeds..;)
