    Cheers

Haven't decided on a route yet. Up the mountains, probably 70 to 80km

10am? What is wrong with you? You aren't tempted by an earlier 8am start in Bray?

Why don't you come down and just do 100km of it?

Then you could turn back :D

No problem. Nothing to stop you coming along for a bit and turning off early either.

The fact that the promised heavy rains predicted haven't yet materialised makes me fear for weather tomorrow.
Be careful. High wind and driving rain. I will be in bed.

Feck sake. Was out on Wednesday about 20 minutes before it started bucketting down...

Hopefully it's clear for a few hours tomorrow. Then again, would I prefer to get pissed on out on the bike in the morning, or sitting in Croke Park tomorrow evening for 2 hours..... hmmm...

    Saturday

The BBC says 1.gif?v30_0. Unlikely methinks.

    The weather channel says 11.gif?12122006.

    Joe Bastari, he say 18.gif.

    Windfinder says superforecast_uk_ireland35.png.

    Met.ie say nat01_weather.png?1658

My bike is clean so I predict heavy horizontal rain from all directions.

I just got soaked out there coming home, absolutely soaked although only out in it for half an hour. Roads like rivers. To be honest my enthusiasm for a Lumpy 200 tomorrow morning is much diminished, I may defect to this 10am gang.

    Can't go tomorrow.

Perhaps someone could start warming up a few seats on the wimp list - I have a feeling certain boardsies will be needing them.

I am a fair weather cyclist... I just cycle a lot in the fair weather... which there is a lot of.

Defer it to Sunday and I'll go ! Sent my cheque to Arranmoreelw for the route last week, but never received it. Taking a few days off late next week so I might have a go at it then. The OH is doing a 1 year course every second Saturday (and some Sundays) which is stuffing up my weekends at the moment !

@LastGap- there is talk of an "alternative" Lumpy200 next week on the same route if the weather is better. Will not be eligible for medals mind.

Nor is this one, technically - this (and the rerun in January) will not be BRM (i.e. not validated by ACP) which makes them (theoretically) cheaper but means that there is no medal option, and they don't count towards an ACP SR award either. Anything on the calendar on the Sorrento site will be BRM, and I've marked on my calendar that the Lumpy 200s are non-BRM.

Looks all right out there now - not raining, not much wind.

Did you get out for the spin today? Might have passed you on the road.

Nice day for it, damn glad the rain held off, but there were a couple of hairy moments with wet leaves / downhill / corner combinations.

Went up to Enniskerry, over to Kilmacanogue, then Bray, and back to Dundrum, just over 50kms in total. Pretty happy with that, don't think I'm quite ready for a full stint in the Wicklow hills, but getting there

had tendonitis on the back of the knee since the end of aug
6 weeks of physio got it fairly sorted but its still a bit achy after a ride
(look keo 2's seem to be helping - had a slight wobble when the cleats were in the old pedals not there with same cleats on new pedals)
trouble is the nearest physio i can find is a 2 hour round trip away so thats not popular at work (must someone closer just cant find them)

just have to work through it i guess

No rain today for me but a fair bit of water on the road, in places there were rivers. Windy up over Sally Gap.

Good to hear you are on the mend. Knee problems are the scurge of all cyclists. I've had trouble since last June and still not sorted but working on it. Depressing at this stage.:(
