As we all know the country is in the sh*t and we are all going to suffer because of it. I don't see why we seen to spend our time bickering about public sector Vs private sector when the culprits (FIANNA FAIL, banking execs, developers) seen to be getting off very lightly. I think our vitriol should be directed at these instead of amongst ourselves.

So, what do ye think would be a just punishment for those responsible, use your imaginations.

personally I'd love to see the entire Fianna Fail party and their banker/developer cronies sentenced to an eternity of abject poverty, living from bins and subject to our every whim...everything should be taken from them and given back to this country....and it should be back dated to include the likes of Charlie Haughey, Bertie Ahern etc, let them know our pain too!!!

Why should we be propping up their lavish lifestyles, let them suffer I say!!

That's right, folks. Rather than discussing the matters at hand, we should escape reality to la-la land and discuss our fantastical ideas in another one of those keyboard-warrior-orgasm-fests. Damn this thread.

If I must stay on-topic: RABBLE!

Sure why the hell not. No harm in venting a little frustration at those who have brought us to this state. :)

There are enough threads dealing with the seriousness of the situation, why not have something a little more light-hearted??

Anyone see an ostrich around here?

Meh, to be honest, a lot (most?) people did well out of the Celtic Tiger era (public and private).

Very few gave a damn about what was going on as long as their pockets were lined.

The "ordinary citizen" in a lot of ways holds responsibility for what has happened as well. We just don't like to admit that. And I doubt we'll learn from it either.

I am not a Fianna Fáil supporter but had the so called opposition been in power, things wouldn't be all that much different. Sacking them all and sending them to the abyss is not going to achieve anything either. There's very few "decent skins" to replace them.

Having said that, I hope to see an alternative Government next time. Change is good as the rest and all that.

It's a cowardly way out. Face reality.

It seems the recession has sucked all the imagination and fun out of people. Shame.

What that we're going to elaborate on our fantasies about how the government should be 'dealt' with? It's apathy, they're not even worth the consideration.

Six hours sexy time each with Lady-H

    That'll learn em.

Honestly... I was too lazy to read whatever rambling repeated nonscence was in the op.. I saw FIANNA FAIL in caps and just tuned out.
But I think this punishment is fairly universal.

Personally I think the government are doing a great job and all of them should be rewarded financially and sexually.

No - he only invented that rumour so that he'd get away without facing the punishment from the tribunal and in order to get us to pay for a state funeral that only his bitch Ahern wanted....

Haughey is actually living with Elvis and their pet dodo.....
