Can an LG Viewty be unlocked?

Hi there I moved home from the UK with my o2 LG Viewty. They will unlock it but not until I have owned it a year. Can it be unlocked by other means? ;) Thanks

Fm mobiles on Georges street is one of many many places in town that would unlock it for you.
