Havent held an FIA licence since '01. Raced karts for a few years, dabbled in single seaters. Got back into gearbox karts stateside this year. I might turn up in a gearbox kart or a rotax (shame KF is gone) back in Ireland one of these days, ye never know :)

the whole layout, the poor communication, any question you ask get answered with 10 More questions, the fact you have to be a drug dealer or similar to afford a respectable car for a season...

rules/reg's not layed out nor are classes/groups.

its actually confusing how they can run a sports like these without any correct co-ordination... Drives me batsh*t.

will be drifting more then likely next year though, E36 beemer, only needs a Bigger engine as all other works been carried out ( unless the seats are out of date )

Rallycross stock hatches, Unos, Mark 1 Puntos, rally a 205...all cheap

The Green Book. It's available on CD as well, ask Dawson St.

Drifting's not really my thing, but the best of luck with that.

PDfile, who have you been talking to exactly? MI website seems pretty clear cut to me and as Robbo says the Green Book explains everything, litterally in back and white.

Not sure if drifting is going to be any cheaper for you than racing TBH. But if you already have an E36 Im not sure what class you could race it in.

There was one out in the libre saloon race in the Park this year.

have done a bit of co-driving over the last 12 years,a few loose surface autocross events also done a few night navs in me time not enough as there some craic, but now its mainly if you want to call it a bit of rally prep and on event servicing.

I have done a bit of hillclimbing in a single seater , the park in a historic tin top , karting (which I'm doing again next year) And a lot of prep and running .I am 100% MI and think super pro karting is one of the cheapest forms of motorsport and the best craic .

Single seaters all the way, :) Irish Formula Vee, UK Formula Vee and F5.
Ran our mod Ficus to the Formula Vee rookie title in 2006. Also ran Lightning in Vees. Ran owen Purcell to the 2008 Vee rookie title, and I won the 2004 Motorsport Ireland Hawthorn trophy, 2004 Vee B title, and 2007 F5 championship. Won 3 Vee races last year and had a strong enough year.

While not exactly a motorsport I work on my brother's Time Attack CRX

He's been offered the use of a formula vee for next year so I will be involved in that too if he decides to take up the offer.

thanks of the advice and such posters, ive a 1.6 civic also but i want to use that as a daily driver as its only 56k on the clock, no point in wasiting a good car.

as for the beemer, the diffs already welded and ive several sets of alloys and tyres though the current set-up of drifting ( the sport itself ) i agree is poor, but it is great craic, but with a welded diff, just over 400k , the " Rocket " needs to be raced as id never sell it... unless i broke it for parts but i truely Cba.

as for unos, libra and single seaters, uno's and putno's are deadly, seen them in the park last year and it looked great ! but the porshe serises looks a little better ( though to get in cheap looks to be just under 10k with spares and parts ) Single seaters are not my cup of tea :(

as for rules and reg's I was on the MI site and done hours of googling only to find you need two things: 1) heaps of cash 2) someone to show you the ropes.

is rally cross still active, as pug 205gti or simular is a car ive Always wanted and they do look cheap enough... just wondering who many stages do they do here cause id happly go to england to do some also. :)
