Not sure about Toast (I don't use it) but the error seems to be complaining about a missing Xvid codec - can QuickTime play those files for you? If not, try installing Perian and then try to burn them again:

    Hi

many thanks for the reply I dl perian past night and all seems ok so far.

I have left it burning 4 epesodies of desperate housewives for my misses so should know soon enough. I think it's working because the burn is taking a long time.

Do you have any other recomendations for similiar software. I think I needed perian because all my dls are using vlc

To this day I cant see why people use DVDs for putting data on to watch on tv

If you can buy a external hard drive and a WD media player that would sort your issues out

    Hope this helps

It comes with composite cables as well. The newer one also supports component output.

WD is a media player, you just attach your external hard drive to it.

Yeah, or with the new one (the WD TV Live) you can connect an ethernet cable or usb wireless adapter and stream from your computer.
