Basicially trying to unrar a 8.9gig file. Only got 5.6gb of space left on C: and the pagefile set to 6gb.

Wont complete the unzip process. Any way around this ?

Change the size of the pagefile to 1gb, extract the file, delete the original zip and then restore your current pagefile settings.

Maybe i should have explained a bit better.

I have 4 other 1tb internal drives d: e: g: h: all with loads of room. And a few external tb drives c: only has 5.6gb left, setting the pagefile to 1gb wont do anything(as i've tried this).

No matter what im doing now when its being unziped/rar'd its using c: as some form of bastardized cache filling the drive up and not letting it finish.

Any way around this? Oh and its vista 64 ultimate. Also inb4 delete the winsxs folder. c: is a 36gb raptor.

after you have set the pagefile to 1gb, you will need to restart the computer for the new setting to take effect. That should have freed up the extra space.

The easiest way to extract the file would be with winrar, it dose not require a temporary working folder in order to extract the file... and just place it one of your other drives.
